Feet fitted with Readiness

Feet fitted with Readiness – As Christians, we are called to be prepared and ready to serve God at all times. In Ephesians 6:15, the Apostle Paul instructs us to “put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.” This readiness includes being prepared to share the gospel with others, serve in your local church, and do whatever God calls us to do.

Feet fitted with Readiness - As Christians, we are called to be prepared and ready to serve God at all times. In Ephesians 6:15, the Apostle Paul instructs us to "put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace." This readiness includes being prepared to share the gospel with others, serve in your local church, and do whatever God calls us to do.

Just as physical readiness is important for our daily lives, spiritual readiness is essential for our walk with Christ. In this context, the metaphor of feet fitted with readiness takes on a deeper meaning. We must ensure that our spiritual feet are ready to carry us wherever God leads us.

Feet are the foundation of the body, and as such, they play a crucial role in overall health and fitness. Whether you’re an athlete or simply trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, having feet that are prepared and ready to tackle any challenge is essential. In this blog post, we’ll explore the importance of feet fitted with readiness and how to achieve this.

The first step towards having feet that are ready for any challenge is to ensure that they are well-supported. Proper footwear is essential, as it provides the necessary support and cushioning for your feet. Shoes should fit well, with enough room to wiggle your toes and a snug fit around the heel.

The first step towards spiritual readiness is to ensure that we are grounded in our faith. We must have a firm foundation in Christ and the truth of His Word. Just as a house built on a strong foundation can withstand any storm, so too can we withstand the trials and temptations of this world when our faith is built on a solid foundation.

Secondly, we must be willing to submit ourselves to God’s will and plan for our lives. This requires humility and a willingness to surrender our own desires and plans to God’s perfect will. Just as a soldier must be willing to follow the orders of their commanding officer, so too must we be willing to follow God’s plan for our lives.

Finally, we must be prepared to serve others in the name of Christ. This means being willing to share the gospel with those who do not know Christ, serving in your local church, and doing good works in your communities. When our spiritual feet are fitted with readiness, we are prepared to serve God and others with love and compassion.

In conclusion, as Christians, we must ensure that our spiritual feet are fitted with readiness. This means being grounded in our faith, submitting to God’s will, and being prepared to serve others in the name of Christ. When we are spiritually ready, we are prepared to face any challenge that comes our way and to serve God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Knowing Christ Today by Dallas Willard — Willard’s work confronts a critical issue in modern Christian thought: the separation of Jesus’ teachings from what is considered genuine knowledge. He argues that this division has led to a catastrophic misunderstanding of what it means to know Christ and live according to His teachings. The book’s aim is to reestablish the core teachings of Christianity—often referred to as “Mere” Christianity—as a substantial and recognized form of knowledge¹[1].
